Throughout his period of procrastination Mr. Saunders enthusiastically developed his skills and abilities
- He has actively participated in Toastmasters for the last 34 years, generally belonging to more than one club at the same time.
- His competition during that time took him to the fifth level of three Toastmaster's International Contests. The third time he placed second in the Regional contest which ranked him in the top 20 amateur speakers in the world that year.
- He is a member of the National Speakers Association
